This is a wonderful apartment! It has a nice, open layout and was very comfortable for two people. It was spotlessly clean and everything was in great condition. And the location can’t be beat — very convenient to both the Place des Vosges and the Bastille métro station. I’d gladly stay here again.

The location couldn’t be more convenient. Lots of restaurants and shops, and a metro stop, all within a short stroll away. The apartment was modern and spacious–perfect for a family with 2 children. The only drawback was the noise level, both from the street and the surrounding apartments. (If you are a sound sleeper this should not be a problem.) But we were extremely pleased with the service we received from the agency staff. The taxi service was well worth it.

For my family, this was the perfect apartment. The location was very convenient, the building was charming, and the apartment itself offered plenty of space for 9 days for four of us (my husband, 10-year old daughter, 1-year old daughter, and myself.) The kitchen and appliances appeared nearly brand new, and the apartment was well-equipped with sheets, towels, cleaning supplies, etc. I was especially thrilled to discover that Paris’s largest Sunday open air market is just steps away. We are now recommending SCI PA Location to our friends.

I stayed in this apartment for one week at the end of September. I was met by Joel who provided a very good introduction to the apartment. Unfortunately the apartment had not been cleaned, even though I arrived well after 2 PM. Joel made sure that the cleaning happened and I was able to meet the cleaning lady who was very friendly and who explained more to me. The cable TV did not work and Orange was not able to provide a new set top box during my stay. This was disappointing, but the agency people told me that it was out of their hands. The WiFi did work and was much appreciated. The position of the apartment is very good and the Monoprix dowstairs is a very big plus. Temple Metro is seconds away, as is Rebublique Metro, and I was able to use the metro to get to and from mainline train stations (and connect to the CDG train at Gare du Nord), thus saving money on taxis. I previously stayed in Le Marais which is my favourite part of Paris and I was able to walk there in a short time. The apartment is well fitted out and I was able to meet some of the building’s tenants and try out my French. Rue de Temple can be noisy but the apartment is well insulated from noise, although it did get warm a few times and opening the window let the noise in. Apart from that, the apartment is quiet. This would be a good apartment for the cooler weather as the heating, which came on a few times in the mornings, is very effective.

We had a great time on Rue Temple. The WiFi and clothes washer were tremendously convenient (along with the Monoprix on the first floor). We only wish we were able to stay longer.

We will definitely use this agency again and recommend it to our friends.

We enjoyed the apartment very much. If you look at the above picture, there appears to be a wall bed which comes down. That was not the case and we were both surprised and disappointed. It did not seriously affect our visit and we were very grateful to your staff for it’s help. We only arrived back in Los Angeles yesterday, so were unable to respond before now. If you would please check with your cleaning staff to see if they found a black wool mans sweater in the little cabinet next to the couch. If you could please advise, we’d be so grateful.

This was an excellent location in Paris. The apartment was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay.

This is the 4th different apartment I have rented from this agency. This is a very good location and a nice size for two people. It has good metro access and best of all is very close to famous chocolatier / patissier Jacques Genin, just up the street at 133 Rue de Turenne.

I definitely recommend this apartment! Perfect for 2 people, and we even had a friend sleep on the futon when she joined us for a couple of days. I will most definitely stay here again. Clean, great location. Loved it!

We spent eleven nights here from Christmas over New Year’s. As the other comments state, it is perfect for two people…everything you’d need for a stay. We liked the big bathroom and washing machine (!). Highly recommend the apartment and the location.

We stayed in this apartment for three nights in mid June 2011 and LOVED it. It was fantastic. The apartment can sleep five but is probably better for a couple with/without children. Two couples would be two much as the bathroom is quite small. Its on the first floor so easy to get to. Re. noise, yes it is a bit noisy but if you want quiet, don’t choose to stay in the Marais. We have a one year old and it was perfect for us. There are lots of fantastic deli’s and cafes close by. We are already planning our next trip!

We stayed at Rose 40 for 6 days in July 2010. The street is very lively which is a pro and a con. There are 2 flaffel shops directly across from each other who have “barkers” to lure customers to each.It can be a form of entertainment as you watch from the second floor windows, but it can be an annoyance if you expect it to be a lovely quiet Paris neighborhood experience. This apartment is fine for a couple but be aware if one of you hovers near 6 feet tall; the bedroom ceiling is VERY low because the owners have put in a loft…you can’t stand up in it. The bed is directly on the floor so if you are not 100% agile it can pose some problems getting back up!. My greatest concern about this apartment is the bathtub. It is long, high and wonderful for soaking but very difficult to enter. You must enter from the rear and the tub slopes so not only do you have to step over a high tub but onto a slope. The is one grab bar but I held my breath entering and exiting. For anyone who is short, has any balance problems, etc. this is an accident waiting to happen. The apartment itself is nice and well equipped…except for a lack of glasses, especially wine glasses!! The washer worked wonderfully, just follow the instructions, but I was perplexed where one was expected to hang dry the cloths. It needs a cloths rack. I would definitely use SCI PA Location again, but maybe ask some more questions about each place.

Both the service provided and the appartment are excellent, and we will definitely go back to this agency. (We stayed there in June). The problem is noise : the rue des rosiers is not so quiet, because it is popular with tourists, and there are two trendy shops (“Eleven Paris” and “Lee”) that play techno and rock music all day practically every day until 8 PM, right below the second floor appartment, while a group of young tenants also plays loud music anytime day or evening in the back (bedroom side). They live on the 4th floor but the space between buildings acts like an echo chamber, where you can hear everything. So that, to sum up : we will _definitely_ go back to SCI PA, but do not recommend this otherwise nice and beautifully located place unless you can live with almost constant noise.

My husband and I stayed for a week in May. The apartment was all it appeared to be on the website (I spent weeks choosing) – cosy, close to all activity in this wonderful area. Perfect size for a couple, very homely and full of light and warmth during the day. The wireless connection was an added bonus as was the bathtub!
We will be using this agent again!

The apartment has an amazing location. As a Jewish family (2 adults, 1 small child) in Paris for Chanukah, it was ideal. We just crossed the street each day to buy Ponchkys from the amazing Jewish deli, Florence Finkelstajn. And of course, we had falafel at L’As Du Falafel. The apartment has amazing high ceilings and huge windows looking down onto the street. Rue des Rosiers is very quiet by night. We were only disturbed a few nights out of a 14 night stay by the upstairs neighbours who like their music loud. In general, the apartment is well priced and very warm and the kitchen is fine. The owner has lots of nice Japanese/ Chinese dinnerware which we enjoyed. The hot water in the bathroom was also very hot when we stayed but there turned out to be a problem with the water tank which SCI fixed as soon as we alerted them – that was causing the boiling water temperature. They also responded within hours to the gas canister running out re the cooker. The wireless connection was handy. The only real downside of the apartment was the lack of an oven (though they have a microwave) which prevented any major cooking and the landline phone which wont receive international calls (only in/ out local). Overall, you can’t beat Rue des Rosiers as a location – we would stay in this apartment again without hesitation. Still miss Florence FInkelstajn’s pastries!

I had a great stay of 4 weeks in this apartment and found the location was excellent and the apartment comfortable. My daughter also stayed for the last 2 weeks and we found the shops on Rue de Rivoli were great for all our needs. The Tapas Bar opposite was so handy when we were tired after a day out and CRU Restaurant at the village area of St Paul is a top class restaurant.

The only problems were as other people have mentioned – the terrible drain smell in the bathroom, our inability to access TV programs and the telephone which was not set up for phone calls. More information needs to be available about the TV and the telephone system. The information for when the WIFI went off-line, as it did several times, was excellent.

Despite these problems we would love to stay there again.

Last May I stayed in this little apartment for 1 week…. and I absolutly loved it. Everything was the way I expected: apartment itself, service and of course the location. In October I stayed at one of your apt. on Rue St. Paul and my stay was equally enjoyable. I recommed this renting firm to every one who is plannig to visit Paris. Surly enough, when I go back ( and I will!) I am going to use you again. Thanks guys for running such a good and afordable service.

My daughter and I spent six days in this apartment. The good points are the location (close to metro, shopping, restaurants) and being on the first floor (U.S. second floor) so not too far to walk up. Everything worked for us, including the television and internet. The wifi router occasionally needed to be rebooted. If you can’t get the router to work, just plug the cable into your laptop. We appreciated the tiny kitchen, even though we didn’t cook much and mostly used the refrigerator for our fruit, cheese and water. The negative points are the boring decor (very brown) and darkness of the apartment. It’s near the bottom of a tiny courtyard (think air shaft) with five or six floors of building above blocking out the light. Oh, and the smell from the shower drain, which has been mentioned by other people who stayed here. Check around and see if a former tenant has left any bleach (Javel). If not, head to the Monoprix down the street and buy a big jug. Pour Javel down the shower drain as needed. The apartment will smell like bleach, but believe me that’s better. We enjoyed our meals at the creperie downstairs and the tapas restaurant across the street, both great for a night when you are tired from running around in Paris and just want to stay close to home.

This was our second stay at MARAIS06 and we enjoyed it for the same reasons as before: excellent central location, characterful building etc. However, we did experience some down-sides this time: particularly the constantly malodourus bathroom and the fact that the washbasin drainer jammed making the basin unusable. Also, we couldn’t get the TV to work. Your rep did try to explain it to us but he seemed rather uncertain himself: it had worked fine on our previous visit. That didn’t matter much to us – and we didn’t want to stay inside to wait for someone to come and fix it and the washbasin – but we weren’t quite so enamoured of the apartment as we were last time.

I am a flight attendant and fly Paris every week but it isn’t enough for me (and my husband certainly doesn’t have the same opportunity. I decided where to stay and checked out locations of various Marais apartments from many companies on my various layovers in Paris. I decided this was the best located for our needs–one block away from line#1–the best. The fruit seller is expensive but has fantastic produce.Monoprix is a short distance, and the taxi stand is next to the Metro. Shopping? The Marais is full of boutiques.Restaurants? I found Michelin rated bistros(I don’t do the walk in any restaurant and expect a good meal routine any more) nearby and rue de Rosiers is very close for falafel.
When we asked for extra towels, we had them the next day. Our assistant was rushed when we met with her the first day because our flight was delayed. She went too fast with the info for 2 jet lagged people. The TV didn’t have many chanels so it was better that I didn’t watch anything, anyway. Wifi was better than home..FAST!
Shower drain starts to smell bad so I bought “javel”(chlorox)and poured it down the drain when needed.
Would I go back to this apt. after everything you read? In a nanosecond.

I spent two lovely weeks in Paris and found everything as others have remarked. My check-in contact was available by phone when I forgot to bring the door code with me; thus avoiding a dreadful wait to get back inside. While small changes would make this perfect, it was wonderful and I plan to return (and have recommended it to friends.) The immediate neighborhood is fairly commercial, but lovely small gardens are just minutes away. The trick to stopping up the bathroom sink is to depress and then slightly turn the large “button.” Reversing this opens it up to drain again. It’s a quiet apartment and a beauty.

This apartment is in a terrific location. The entrance and staircase may make you wonder what you got yourself into, but you will be delighted when you get to the top floor and have air, light and sweet views of the Paris rooftops. In old buildings in Paris, you often can hear every bit of water that runs through the pipes. Since this apartment is on the top floor here, that is not a problem, though you will think a 747 is flying through the apartment when you fire the hot water heater.

We had some wireless connectivity issues which we did not attempt to resolve since we were here only a short time, but otherwise, the place was simple, charming and in the right location to walk everywhere you could possibly want to go. The agency made this an easy process every step of the way.

I stayed at this apartment for 14 days. As each day passed I realized more and more what an excellent location it is. In 5 minutes I could walk to the Place des Vosges or a great Sunday street market off the Place de la Bastille, and in 10 minutes’ walk I could be on the Left Bank in the heart of the Latin Quarter or the St. Germain area. The metro line accommodating the St. Paul area took me to all the places I wanted to go. And every evening, I could stroll back to my apartment picking up dinner from the endless butchers, bakers, wine and cheese stores and vegetable stands lining the street just before the turn onto Rue St. Paul. All of this AND being in the Marais, one of the most colorful and happening neighborhoods of Paris. I thought the agency did a great job being on top of all the details. I felt I could contact them for anything if I needed to. I took advantage of their taxi service both ways and appreciated the helpful service and kind attitude of the drivers. I would definitely use this agency again; however, if my husband comes with me I will have to find another apartment. He stayed with me at this one for 2 days. He is 6 foot and 3 inches tall, and after struggling to maneuver himself in the tiny bedroom and bathroom, he exclaimed “I am just too big for this place!”

This appartment is located in one of the best arrondisment of Paris. We stayed with 2 kids (6 and 8 years old). They loved it! There are a lot of restaurants around the corner, nice little shops and a playground behind the building. The Seine and the Metro was nearby. The stairs were no problem at all and the views were amazing. The reservationproces was simple and clear.
