Spent 4 nights in the Paris Apartments by Numbers apartment, LOUIS20. Lovely bright spacious apartment. Exceptional location, beautiful views over the Seine and had everything needed for a short city break. Our agency contact Joel was thorough, friendly and efficient on arrival. If there are any negatives, it is just to be mindful of the 55 stairs to access the apartment. Our son had broken his foot a few weeks before the trip so the climb was challenging, but worth it! Also, we were given 2 sets of keys and, would have like a third. We would love to return to LOUIS 20 and explore more of this fabulous city.

My husband and I stayed in LOUIS20 for a week in Oct 2009. The apartment location was fantastic. Centrally located and in my opinion the best part of Paris. The TV was not hooked up and the wifi worked on occasion, but actually we did not miss it. Our entertainment when we were in the apartment aside from each other was watching the big boats go up and down the river at night with their lights on. It was spectacular. My husband and I loved it. There were AWESOME pastry, cheese and wine shops right around the corner. As well as a famous ice cream shop Berthillon also right around the corner.

The apartment was decorated beautifully all the appliances were apartment sized Miele.

We will return for a month next time. We were very happy with our stay and the service we got from Fabien and Axelle. Just lovely.

Cheers

Absolutely fantastic!! Stayed for 12 days with our 2 adult children and it was perfect. Would definitely stay again it was the best position in Paris. Thankyou.

LOUIS20 is an exellent apartment in an amazing neighborhood and with a great view of the Seine. It was the best part of our trip to Paris! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful and the living space was amazing. We truly felt like we were “living” in an upscale Paris apartment for a week–not crammed into a small hotel room. The “customer service” with Fabien and Gabriel was top-notch. They were friendly, efficient and very responsive. My only negative comment would be the lack of instructions in English for the washing machine/dryer–very different from American-type machines. We would definitely stay in the same apartment again and would highly recommend SCI PA Location to anyone.

LOUIS20 was a fabulous location and view of the Seine. We got a Wi-Fi connection in the apartment even though Fabien thought we would not be able to. There was no phone and the TV was not hooked up but it could play DVDs. We did not spend much time in the apartment, though, so it did not matter to us. There are now two sets of keys and a hair dryer in the apartment (as of November 2009). I think Fabien was communicative and available by phone. We would definitely stay there again.

I want to add that the location of the apt. is exceptional! In my opinion, it is the best location in Paris, right in the center with easy access to everything. You also have a bakeries, grocers, restaurants, pharmacies, ATM’s right around the corner. Absolutely perfect!

We stayed in this apartment for over a week & thoroughly enjoyed it. The service & support provided was great. The views of Notre Dame lived up to the website & its cenral location was convenient. The bedroom was very quiet & the rooms were cosy but big enough for 2. Loved the modern bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at 26 Quai d’Orleans in October 2011.I have lived in Paris for a year at a time, often rented apartments on the Ile Saint-Louis. I am a writer who has published books on Paris, etc. That is the background for this comment: 26 Quai d’Orleans is the best apartment, with the best view in the world. And the  service and greeting team were superb. The best all around.–H. R. Stoneback

We stayed at 26 Quai de Bourbon in late May 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed the apartment. The location, the views, general ambience, interesting artworks and presentation combined to make it a very special week. We were let down by another rental organisation just before we were about to leave for France but you were extremely efficient in processing our rental at very short notice.

We spent 5 nights at 26 Quai d’Orleans in July with our two children. The apartment was fantastic – it was clean, has great decor, security ,a washing machine and a view worth writing home about. We loved every aspect of the apartment including its location. It is close to a string of beautiful shops and restaurants and every night we walked around the corner to get ice-cream. A big thank you to Eric who met us on our arrival and went through everything with us. We used the pick up and departure service offered which made it all very easy. We highly recommend this apartment and would stay there again without a doubt.

We found it very hard to leave Paris after two & a half weeks at 26 Quai d’Orleans
in August 2009, & cannot imagine a more wonderful base – the views, the river, the Ile Saint Louis, the convenience of walking everywhere! The apartment was immaculate, with every convenience, and the service of SCI PA LOcation staff friendly & efficient from start to finish. We used the station/airport pick-up service & are glad we did.Thank you to all concerned for a remarkable Paris stay – we hope to return!

My husband and I spent 8 wonderful days in Paris in September. This visit was enhanced by our stay at 26 Quai d’Orleans. This was our first apartment experience and will be the way we travel in the future. This comfortable apartment is spacious and well furnished. The views from the living and dining room are spectacular – surely the best in Paris. The highlight of our day was sitting on the balcony late in the afternoon watching the boats on the Seine and the lights of Notre Dame. Our experience with SCI was very positive from the moment we first contacted them until checking into our apartment with Gabriel. A very professional company.

We just spent a month at 26 quai d’Orlean and enjoyed it very much. The apartment is lovely and well-located. The furnishings are adequate, the bed comfortable. The service provided by SCI was top-notch. Highly recommended!

My husband and I loved this apartment for our two week stay in Paris. It is modern, clean, quiet and in the heart of Paris on its own island. The layout is great for a small apartment and storage is ample. We loved coming home to this apartment.

We loved our apartment and its location on our recent stay in Paris. It was comfortable and soooo quiet. Such a nice retreat to have in a busy city. We found the company very professional and correct and would certainly use them again on our next trip to Paris…..Vicki and Andre

We really enjoyed this apartment- it was very modern and comfortable, and the location could not be better. It was a nice quiet place to come back to. We would highly recommend it.

We only wish the person greeting us at the apartment would have given us some instructions on how to navigate the RER into the city, as this resulted in some delays in getting there, and unfortunately made us late!

We would highly recommend this apartment!

We spent a great week in LOUIS16 with our two grandchildren who loved the creperies and ice cream parlours of Ile St Louis. The island really is a village within a city with it’s local shops and schools and yet you couldn’t be more central. August can be warm in Paris but being on the river and in a lovely spacious two bedroom apartment helps!

Thanks to Liam and his Parisbynumbers team on the ground for working everything out. We were booked into LOUVRE05 where we had stayed last year and enjoyed, but on arrival there was a problem with the doorcode and we could not gain access. We were quickly brought by taxi and accommodated in LOUIS16 – now we have discovered Ile St Louis we will have a nice dilemma to face when we book with you again next year!

5 rue jean du bellay was a wonderful experience for our family–two adults traveling with an 18-year old. The apartment is the best of all worlds: classic French design with modern conveniences, like the flat screen, washer&dryer (that work!), completely functioning kitchen and bath, plus a giant refrigerator.

we happily visited the MonoPrix and loaded up on baguettes, camembert and rose wine. Our breakfasts were happy and carefree, as we could sleep as long as we needed without missing breakfast, as in a hotel.

The Ile St. Louis area is sublimely perfect and we completely enjoyed the restaurants on the main street, especially the Alsatian brasserie on the corner. We highly recommend the LOUIS16 apartment and can’t wait to return!

The apartment is lovely and a French experience all by itself. I brought a 14 and a 12 year old and they loved coming back to “our island.” The location can’t be beat, and I would rent this apartment again with pleasure!

Please note that our recommendation under Diane & Richard Maggi in Sept 2010 has an error. We stayed at the apt. during May 2010 (last year) and are staying 6 weeks this time during this Oct/Nov.
Thank you and we’re really looking forward to returning to LOUIS16, Ile Saint Louis.

We recently spent two weeks at LOUIS16. It was mid-April and the weather turned out to be spectacular – warm days, cool nights and only a few sprinkles. The apartment was great. It was clean and the perfect size and appointments for our visit. The location is incredible. Ile St. Louis is a little microcosm of a french village right in the heart of the best part of Paris. Cafes at your doorstep, bakery, grocery, wine, meats, everything within a short stroll. We ended up eating lunch out most days and then dinners in about half of the time. The restaurants on the island are also very nice. The famous Berthillon ice-cream is good, but we found the perfect gelato place a few blocks away and we thought it was better (we know, sacrilegious). We loved the apartment, location and the trip and we will be back!

Posted by: C Michaels | 27 May 2011 at 02:25

If you liked the photos and the location enough to read these reviews, just book it! They’re all accurate in describing the ambience and amenity of LOUIS16. There’s 20 lovely looking restaurants within a 150 metre walk (shame we weren’t able to try more than about 6), pharmacy, supermarket, baker, butcher, boutique shops AND, of course, Paris is in every direction close at hand. We stayed 2 weeks in December with our two daughters and loved waking up in and coming home to this location. It’s a comfortable and charming enough space to be content to “waste” a few of your precious Paris hours just relaxing.

This is the second time we have stayed at 5 rue Jean Du Bellay and all we can say is “Bravo!” My wife is already asking when we can stay here again. The apartment is so well furnished with everything that we could need, the location is wonderful on the Island with our favorite restaurant just 4 door away (Brasserie de l’Isle Saint Louis), and the folks at the agency could not of been more attentive – although we didn’t need a thing!

LOUIS16 – see you next year!

The beautiful apartment at 5 Rue de Jean Bellay is absolutely charming, totally tasteful, and wonderfully comfortable. Its Isle de St. Louis location is in the midst of everything Paris has to offer with two Metro stations just minutes away. The artwork, decor and furnishings have been selected with care. Huge windows open over the charming street where you might watch a mounting police unit clip-clop by or listen to the street musicians from the nearby bridge to Notre Dame. Dine at one of the many nearby charming restaurants or perhaps stay in and cook in the fully outfitted kitchen and sip wine in frint of the antiqye fireplace. Tres magnifique!

This charming apartment has location, convenience, comfort and, well, charm. After exciting but sometimes exhausting days and nights in Paris, it was a treat to return to 5, rue Jean de Bellay. We loved being able, at any hour, to stroll the historic streets of Ile St. Louis, have a nightcap on the Island, and then relax in the comfort of this apartment or watch the romantic street below. This home is spacious by Parisian standards and comfortable by any standards, with everything we needed to rest, restore and luxuriate before another fabulous day in Paris.

Posted by: Pam Stacey | 08 September 2010 at 18:56

Our stay at 5 Rue Jean de Bellay was fantastic. The staff was waiting at the apartment upon our arrival and walked us through the use of the apartment, the various places to shop/stock up in the neighborhood and pointed out the nearby public transit. The apartment is gorgeous yet made us feel as if we were at home. The location on the Isle of St.- Louis is second to none. So glad we made the choice to stay at 5 rue Jean de Bellay and cannot imagine any other way to visit Paris. Highly recommend.

What can I say except thank you for providing such a beautiful apartment in LOUIS16 on rue Jean de Bellay, Ile Saint Louis. We stayed for the month of May and could have easily stayed on forever!. Charming, well equipped & spacious on a delightful island with lovely shops and friendly shopowners who made it feel like a village within Paris. So convenient to all the major attractions. Loved it so much, we’re booked for 6 weeks next Oct/Nov.

We recently (August 11 – 19, 2009) stay at 5 rue Jean Bellay and we have to say what a wonderful experience it was! The apartment is in a great location, right on a “main” street of Ill St-Louis, and easy access to the metro stop near Notre Dame.

The apartment exceeded our expectations and we found ourselves lounging in the living room, listening to the local street musicians and enjoying a glass of wine many of the nights we stayed there.

We want to thank the staff for all of their hard work in managing our travels, making sure the apartment was in great repair, and making our stay comfortable. My wife and daughter are already asking when we get to go back . . .

Best,

The McDaniels

Stayed in LOUIS09 early July and it was amazing! Fabulous location and apartment was perfect for family of 4. Loved the terrace! We did not use the a/c and with windows open definitely some street noise but you are in the center of Paris!! If would be odd to not have any noise! highly recommen the agency, this apartment and location! Also very easy meeting up with Eric, the keeper of the keys. We hopefully be back sometime soon!!

Posted by: Keli Mazzoni | 07 August 2011 at 16:57

Myself and my 18 yr. old grandaughter stayed in LOUIS09. It was very modern, clean, and well located. Cool July so, the doors were closed at night, so we could not hear the party goers down the street at a bar.But when doors open, a bit noisy late at night. I was very pleased with the agency. Very friendly, well run corporation. I would use them again. The gentleman who met us with the keys, Eric, was friendly and pleasant. All in all very nice stay, only wish it had been warm, weather wise. S.Edwards, Scottsdale Arizona. USA

We stayed in LOUIS09 and LOUIS08 in the first week of december. That apartment and the location are great. But it was a very cold week and the heating did not work. The person who showed us the apartment saw tbere was a problem and told us to wait a few hours to give time the apartment to heat. But evidently by the time we could confirm it did not work, it was too late. Six kids with no heating, snowing outside! Next day they brang two little heatings, not enough for the apartment. This is our main complain. The apartment otherwise is great, clean and very well located.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Paris – how could you not! – and this lovely little apartment was ideal for our short visit. While the kitchen was small, it was heaven compared to our previous weeks of hotels and had all the equipment that we needed. The guy who greeted us with the keys was very friendly and took us through all the appliances in the apartment. The free wifi and guidebooks were particularly appreciated. Location was fantastic – would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I enjoyed a great week here, having been moved by the company due to technical problems in our original apartment. We have used SCI PA Location several times and have always found them to be helpful and efficient. Friends joined us for the weekend and the four of us managed comfortably if a little cosily in the apartment (it made for a great base to celebrate a special birthday and the balcony was heaven for fresh air in the morning following a few too many cocktails at Kong the night before…you must go!)We usually visit Paris several times a year and so understand that space in this city is at a premium which means the comfortable rooms and bathroom make this apartment an excellent choice. You are very central here and in an excellent arrondisement. Thank you once again. Andy and Clare

Spent a great week in September LOUIS09 with my husband and 1 year old daughter. The apartment was pleasant, clean and had all of the amenities we needed. The view was lovely, and we loved Ile Ste-Louis. The lcoation was convenient and allowed us to walk to many parts of Paris, which was nice when traveling with a baby. Only complaint was that the sofa in the apartment was not terribly comfortable. Overall, a very good place to stay.

Posted by: Lisa | 07 October 2009 at 23:32

We stayed in this apartment for seven days this July. We had previously stayed in another apartment in the same area, but this was much better. It was clean, quite modern, and had all the facilities we needed for a small apartment. The agency service was efficient, friendly, and punctual. The apartment needed a small amount of maintenance whilst we were there, but this was not undertaken, but did not really cause any inconvenience. We would rent this apartment again, as it suited our purposes. The location and the view are great.

This apartment was a perfect home base for all 8 of us in Paris. We traveled with four adults and four children, and this location placed us near many restaurants, main attractions, a grocery story, a small bakery across the street, the metro and many adorable shops. My parents are already planning to go back and stay in this same apartment. We were very comfortable, had plenty of room, and felt very safe. The view from the window of the Seine river, along with the breeze was priceless.

Fabulous stay in beautiful Paris at this great apartment in early January 2011. Our family of 8 were very comfortable in this roomy apartment and found it very clean & well stocked. Superb location (bakery across the road is amazing). We already look forward to returning & highly recommend. SCI PA Location provide an excellent service.

Fantastic apartment! Great location and views, bakery across the street is amazing. We stayed for 4 nights in late Aug/early September and loved it. Would definitely return. Only (small) complaint is that it’s a tad noisy with windows open, but that’s city living for you.

PA Location staff who met us was great. Easy to reach and responsive prior to arrival, ready and waiting when we arrived at the apartment. Highly recommend.

Posted by: Jen Nadol | 07 September 2010 at 19:22

My family stayed ‘On the island’ as we referred to 18 rue des Deux Ponts. The apartment was fabulous. We arrived on the day that the snow storms had created havoc with the airports but Jules patiently waited for us even though we were 5 hours late. We found all the information left on the desk and the cupboard re where things were. We used the Metro constantly and safely from the Pont Marie and Citie. A seperate WC in addition to the modern bathroom and hand basin in the master bedroom worked well. The bakery across from the apartment is to die for as is the Creamerie turning left at Rue Ile Saint Louis. We will be back definitely.

Posted by: Kerry Gillett | 11 January 2010 at 01:44

We stayed in the apartment in late October. The location was wonderful and easy walking distance to so much to see in Paris. Convenient to metro as well. I would like to see heavy curtains on second bedroom as the street light is directly outside. In addition, the early morning rubbish collections several days per week woke us up.
The apartment is great for a group of people sharing. I would have liked to see instructions to local supermarket etc so that when one arrives one can go and get supplies quickly and easily. We found them eventually but not before paying many euros to some of the more local shopkeepers. Great place to stay and I would definitely return.

We spent 3 nights in this apartment and can recommend it highly. The location is superb and the apartment is very well equipped and comfortable. It was wonderful being met by Eric and being shown around. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and the agency to any friends who are contemplating spending time in Paris. I would certainly stay there again if I should be fortunate enough to return to Paris.

Just returned to states after a wonderful visit. Apartment was clean and modern. There were 2 of us for half the time and 3 for half. Think that would be max occupancy. It’s perfect for 2. Commom areas (hallways and lobby) need a little more attention. but could,t ask for a better location.

Very nice , clean and well taken care of apartment on Ile St.Louis. Great location in the heart of Paris and close to Metro, and RER. Location is very central. The appliances in the apartment are new and of good quality. The washer/dryer was too small and took a long time to wash but it did the job. The agency was
wonderful to deal with.I will use them again the next time we’re in Paris.

Very nice apartment in great location. Nice amenities and wonderful service from PA Location. Having them arrange taxi service is a real value and the drivers are very nice and professional. Only issue was small washing machine does not handle much of a load as it is a combo drying unit too.
Bakery, cheese shop, Berthillion around the corner 50 feet away, and good restaurants within 200 yards.
Recommend highly.

Fabulous apartment in the heart of Ile St. Louis. Four of us stayed in this modern and well equipped apartment and I can honestly say that there were no problems at all. I emailed many times with lots of questions as to how the whole process would work as I was nervous about hiring an apartment/using an unknown website etc and the fact that we were arriving close to midnight. It all worked well – a driver met us at the station with keys and escorted us to the apartment. I’ve been to paris many times but having the apartment in a fantastic location really made it an outstanding trip. The staff were very professional and helpful in responding to my many queries. i would use them again and wish their service was available in other cities!
