We were very happy in your apartment MARAIS22, and it was very central and within walking distance of Notre Dame and Pompidou Centre. Both bed and pullout couch were very comfortable with cotton sheets. There was constant hot water which we appreciated.

The disappointments were no English T.V. channel and no stoppers for sinks and bath but easily remedied. Also we were unable to hook up the shower over bath – needs to be repaired. Also the door of entrance to building needs to be adjusted as we had to ask passerbys to help us open it. After three days we met a guy who told us when you enter the entrance code you pull the door towards you first and then push hard.

It would have been helpful to have been told this initially. These are just minor complaints. We enjoyed our stay with Paris Apartments by Numbers and felt very safe etc.

Grav35 studio well located on a nice quiet street leading on to Beaubourg.

Very accessible to the metro Arts et Metiers or Rambuteau both on Beaubourg.  Only a stones throw from the Pompidou Centre and walking distance to the lively Jewish neighbourhood of which rue de Rosiers is a must for lunch;  also walking distance to Notre Dame which has a magnificent organ and  has various recitals for music lovers.  After a long slog around Paris, for those of you who like good value, the cheapest pints 2.50 euro “happy hour” and not much more after that  are to be found on Beaubourg in the Serbian bar on the first corner of Beaubourg after leaving Arts et Metiers;  a couple of doors up the best Chinese restaurant.  If you visit Sacre Coeur don’t take the metro back down but walk down rue Lepic – very atmospheric old Paris.  The metro is great and no problem getting around.

I agree with a few of Bronwen Toovey comments on the apartment. Yes the mirror on the sliding door on the bathroom has not yet been fixed and there is  also  a crack in the window making it very awkward to open. However we had no problems with noise or keys. The apartment would generally benefit from less clutter and a little more attention could be given to bathroom cleaning.

After returning to Paris after a 30 yrs lapse I found the Parisiennes very helpful and friendly.

I found all the staff very efficient in Paris Apartments by Numbers especially the Irish rep Liam.  Thanks.

Will be back to Paris again!  Gorgeous city and great to walk around.

We stayed at this apartment for a little less than a week in November 2009. The apartment was well appointed, quiet and quite pleasant. I would certainly consider staying there again.

I found this apartment to be ok. It needs a bit of tender love and care to bring it up to date, ie curtains on the windows, fix the broken glass on the sliding door in the bathroom, the shower rail in the bathroom is about to fall down, a mat in the bathtub to stop the possibility of slipping, some of the taps need a bit of maintenance and I think this apartment would be very hot in summer time. But it was a great size and far more comfortable than a single room in a hotel.

On the plus side, the bed was great, plenty of towels and apartment reasonably quiet at night, though the upstairs neighbour was pretty noisy, would love to know what he was doing up there? Good value for the money.

Location – very good close to Metro and food shops just up and around the corner and I found a really great restaurant which I visited 3 times whilst there. There are some great museums not far, however, it should be noted by anyone interested that the Picasso Museum is shut until 2012.

SCI staff fabulous. Showed me around the apartment and told me how to use everything.
Had a bit of fun with the key also, could not get door open one night for about 15 minutes and then thank goodness it worked. You have to pull door towards you after second turn of the key.

The area is a bit strange – but I work out that this is where all the handbags coming in from China are being distributed to the various stores, though I could not work out the connection with the Africans buying great bags of bags. Puzzling, but made for interesting speculation.

I would use SCI again, but not necessarily this apartment. Would try another area.

Love Paris and thanks for the whole week of fine weather.

We recently stayed for one month at this unit. It most updated than we anticipated, some malfunctions (Technician dropped by but nothing was fixed), no appliances instruction, but we’ve managed. We didn’t use the kitchen as much as we planned; smaller than the bathroom :) . Yeah, good size bathroom, I think some remodeling needed to take advantage of the closet space. Service responses to our inquires were slow or sometimes none. We have to figure out the closest Children’s Hospital in an emergency. Another point that we didn’t anticipated, we’re Asian, and the building is surrounded by Asian restaurants & groceries, not the best but convenience, though we only used a few times. And lots bag stores. Overall, quiet, great location. I think we have quiet neighbors because we can hear ourselves from the bottom of the stairs but the neighbor’s steps once a while. We would stay here again if we’re in Paris, but smoking rule needs to be expanded like no smoking within 25 feet of public places, like in America. We suffered when we stepped out of the unit. No place to hide from the downwind, so we ended up taking the Metro more, rather walk the beautiful streets of Paris.

Just came back from a week in Paris staying in MARAIS28 We loved everything about this apartement. Big enough for the 5 of us ( 2 adults + 3 kids ), clean, well equipped and on top of it all…lots of caractere. Location was perfect…right in the middle of everything…( Le Marais district is marvelous…!!!) The agency was easy to work with…We will be back.

We stayed at MARAIS28 in July 2010 for a week with Paris Apartments by Numbers. We found the apartment clean and well furnished.  The five floor climb was a bit of a struggle!  Location was excellent being so close to Chatelet les Halles underground station which we used all week.  There’s a great bar at the end of the street called Hall 1900 – great food, service, etc.

We stayed in MARAIS28 for 4 days, in September. It was a pleasant experience. The apartment was clean and we had everything we need except the Internet access. It seems that this is major problem in Paris. Please solve this Internet connection. For future trips to Paris, we will definitely consider booking from SCI PA Location.

I stayed in MARAIS28 with my husband and our children.
Overall the experience was extremely pleasant and we really enjoyed our stay.
The apartment is in the perfect location with many bakeries, cafes and the subway all within a few mins walk.
The apartment was as advertised with a few minor exceptions.
The staircase leading to the loft is a lot steeper than it looks. It was very difficult to get up and down myself let alone the children.
The oven was broken and not repaired in the week that we were there.
The modem for the internet and cable TV was not working. They had sent a technician out but he said that it was the wiring outside the building that needed to be fixed and had to send someone else. Long story short is we had an unreliable wireless connection to use and no cable TV. This was fine as we were out most of the day but when we wanted to look up museum hours or watch the news, we were a little out of luck in the apt.
Aside from these minor inconveniences, we had a great stay. The staff at SCI were very hospitable and helpful and we would certainly consider booking from them again.

Ottima vacanza. Grazie.

We loved the apartment. It was bright, clean, comfortable and well equipped. It was also located close to the Metro, local shops, restaurants and bistros. Le Marais is a wonderful neighbourhood that is not “touristy”.
My husband and I viewed the 89 steps up to the apartment as part of its charm and an opportunity to cross-train for our cycling tour in Provence which followed our stay in Paris.
We were impressed with the service offered by the agency and would certainly recommend it to anyone travelling to Paris.

Have just returned from lovely visit to this apartment [23 - 30/11]. All arrangements went well. A superb location too. It was extremely cold in Paris and the flat was lovely & cosy!

Posted by: Anne Donnelly | 10 December 2010 at 12:56

We stayed in MARAIS20 for a week 2nd – 9th April 2010. The apartment was ideal for visiting the sights and museums and galleries of Paris. The Marais quarter is bustling and has many excellent restaurants and cafes. The apartment was ideal for a couple and had everything we needed for our week in Paris.

We found everything exactly as stated on the website and the arrangements for getting into the apartment all went smoothly thanks to the efficiency of the staff. I would not hesitate to use SCI PA Location again and also use the Rue Pecquay apartment.

We stayed at this lovely apartment from the 21st of December until the 28th, and it was absolutely perfect! Our flight was delayed twice, but we emailed from Seattle to let them know, and then when we finally arrived, our contact Joel was there waiting for us along with one of our friends (who had thoughtfully gathered wine, cheese, charcuterie and baguette).

The location in the Marais couldn’t have been better as our friends were at Hotel de Ville. Fabulous food shops surrounded us, along with great restaurants and bistros. Centre Pompidou was just down the street and the metro was mere steps away.

We’re already recommded you to other friends – all our emails were answered promptly, the final transaction in Paris took mere minutes, and our contact Joel was delightful – what a warm welcome to Paris.

Can’t wait to return to Paris and we’ll definitely contact you again for another apartment – this is the ONLY way to stay in Paris!

Thanks again for everything!

I stayed at this location from 23/05 to 30/05.

Service: When we arrived we were met in timely fashion. Possibly the ONLY complaint about our experience was that the apartment had not yet been cleaned when we arrived. We left for dinner and when we returned, the apartment was clean.

Otherwise communication with the agency was always timely and they were very helpful and clear in explaining everything about the process of renting the apartment. They even provided faxes required for the travel Visa into the country. Thank you so much!

The Apartment was lovely. It had a ton of character and was a joy to stay in. Everything in the apartment worked as expected, the windows all opened and closed, the kitchen and bathroom appliances all seemed to work. What more can you ask for?

The location was right across from pompidou and a quick walk to the metro. Being right down the street from the Hotel de ville was nice too. We didn’t ever feel threatened for our safety and food was right around the corner. It was a lovely area.

Thank you again and especially Gabriel, for making this vacation a wonderful one!

CHAT02 – rue des Lombards, 75001 Paris

Guest Comments

We stayed in the apartment at the CHAT02 from 22 till 31 October 2010. Positive factors:
1) great location – main Parisian attractions (Notre Dam, Louvre, Latin Quarter…) are accessible by walk, the fourth district of Paris seems to be safe, supermatket, two juzz clubs and lots of restaurants are a few steps away
2) good equipment – hair dryer, kitchen, crockery, linen, iron, vacuum cleaner …
3) hulpful and punctual management company personnel
4) optimal furnishing and layout
5) silence at night time
Negative factors:
1) Too steep and narrow stairs. It is especially important when you have heavy baggage
2) fusty smell when entering the room from outside
3) view from the window …
I strongly recommend this apartment for those people who want to discover Paris and who prefer simple and functional lodging to luxurious hotel

We stayed at the Lombards Street appartment in December 2009 and loved it! It was in an excellent location, minutes from the Notre Dame, Centre Pompidou and the Louvre. In addition, really close to both Metro and RER stations. There were wonderful restaurants and bakeries right on Rue des Lombards so it was extremely convenient!

We were greeted by a representative from SCI PA Location who was extremely helpful and showed us everything we needed to know.

The only thing the appartment lacked was dishes and glasses, otherwise it was very well equipped.

I would most definitely recommend it.

We stayed at this address in May/June 2009. Position, position, position: markets, restaurants, boulangeries, cafes-all within 200 meters. Best of all was the Metro of Chaterlet-it accessed several major lines plus the RER which goes straight to the Airport-unless there is a train strike! Appartment was small but clean and generally well equipped but kitchen could do with a cutting board please. The service from SCI was good and we would not hesitate to recommend this location.

We stayed in the apartment, 4 Rue de Lombards, in late October 2008. You can not wish a better location: 5 min from Notre Dame, 10 min from Louvre!!! We even walked to the Place des Vosges and Cemetery Pere-Lachaise. The market near St. Paul Metro station has cheese shop, sea food stall on weekends, foie gras shop – superb. A couple of comments about the kitchen – there wasn’t any sharp knife and no wine glasses!!! We had to borrow the glasses from the pub downstairs. How can you drink Bordeaux from plastic!!!In contrast to the poorly equipped kitchen, the rest of the apartment was excellent: plenty of spare towels and linen, neat and tidy. Beware folks, it is the top floor – you have to carry your suitcase upstairs and the stairwell is spiral and steep!!! For those who wish to experience a real Parisian life we would recommend this nice district and SCI‘s apartment’s service.

The apartment was in a great location, particularly liked the fact it was on a pedestrianised street with lots of bars and restaurants. The Bears Den, located immediately next to the stairwell door to the apartment, was a lively and interesting pub!!

Our family of four stayed here for 3 nights in early July and had a lovely time. The price can’t compare to what we would have paid to stay in a hotel, and it was nicer. It worked fine for us as we had the kids sleep on the sofa bed, although they loved the loft and played up there. It is in a great location, just off a main street so quiet. We took the Metro most places or walked, and our 5-year old and 8-year old did a great job. Bar seating in the kitchen, so we had breakfast here every morning, and take-out dinner one night when too exhausted to go out. It does include a hair dryer and iron, which I was not sure about. Leah who checked us in was awesome and accommodating, we were late getting there. We’ll definitely use you again and will seek out this apartment as well.

I had an excellent stay in Rue St. Paul. The staff was accomodating, efficient and friendly which made the transaction with them extremely easy. Gabriel was very nice and patient with any questions I had when we met at the apartment. The location was excellent, and yes the mezzanine bed was a bit of a challenge, but I loved the apartment. It is modern and everything worked to my complete satisfaction. I will recommend the agency to friends and I will use their services again when I’m next in Paris.

Our experience wiht 16 Rue St. Paul is very good. We called from Gare du Nord that we were arived. We met at the appartment, where we get the keys of the appartment and an explanation of the appartment. The apartment was for us in a perfect location. Rue Saint Paul is a nice little street with lots of very nice antique and specialty shops as well as bakeries and even a grocery store! When you walk out the street you come in rue Rivoli or at the Seine. Great! It is near various metro stops. Everything was in the neighbourhoud and we experienced that we lived in Paris. Fantastic! Next time we will rent again an appartment (rue Saint Pault.

I have to say that our experience with SCI PA Location and in our flat at 16 Rue St. Paul could not have been better. First off, communication with the agency was excellent- they had the taxi waiting for us at the airport that took us straight to the apartment where Jean Paul was there to let us in and show us around. The apartment was in the most perfect location. Rue Saint Paul is a beautiful and quiet little street with lots of very nice antique and specialty shops as well as bakeries and even a grocery store! It is near various metro stops, the Seine, and the many other attractions. It was soo nice to be able to walk almost anywhere we needed to go. We were able to walk to Ile Saint Louis and Notre Dame in a matter of minutes, as well as the Pompidou, the Bastille, Place des Vosges and lots of other sites. The apartment itself was perfect also. It was tastefully decorated, had a fully equipped kitchen so that we could make dinner on some nights. The windows opened so a nice breeze could come in. I will say that the loft area was cozy…bumped our heads a few times, but nothing to complain about. Overall, our entire stay was just great. Perfect way to see and experience Paris!

Posted by: Whitney & Shay | 09 January 2010 at 18:54

We can only repeat what others have said regarding the perfect neighbourhood / location, the lovely old apartment and the caution about the loft bed. It wasn’t a problem for us as it was part of the charm. Gabriel was waiting for use when we arrived and supplied plenty of company phone numbers that we never needed to use. The wireless made booking reservations and finding specific shops a breeze.
If you want a young lovers holiday in the city suited to young love, this apartment in Rue Saint Paul is sure to please.

Me and my 3 friends we have stayed for 8 days. The appartment is very well equiped and the location is ideal. We had no problems with SCI PA Location, it was very pleasant to deal with them, they acted faithfully and quickly. A thousand thanks!

We are 5 pax (including 2 children) & the apartment is suitable for us during holidays. It is right at heart of Paris but we have some difficult with big luggages when we have to go up 2nd floor. SCI PA Location staff are nice & thoughtful. The aprtment is well equipped.

We spent a week here with 2 kids. Whilst apartment is smaller than appears in pictures, It was fabulous, really central and felt completely safe. Apartment had all essentials (apart from cook top electrical circuit breaking) and close to metro, sights and tons of cafes/restaurants etc. Only challenge locating a supermarket. My SCI PA Location consultant was great and very helpful. Thanks
