The best introduction we have every had to an apartment. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for a family of 5 all being adults. The hot water issue was quickly fixed with a read of the green folder on the kitchen bench. The glassware and dishes could do with an update many are broken or chipped.
Location is excellent for walking around Paris. Unfortunately we picked Bastille Day long weekend for our visit, the restaurants and bakery were not open which surprised us.
We would definitely use this agency again and have recommended them to our friends who plan to travel to Paris.

We stayed on this apartment one week in June-July 2011. We were two families, 4 adults and 3 teenagers. The apartment was very comfortable an exactly as described. Location is great with a patisserie, grocery stores and restaurants right down the street. We walked to the nearby attractions or took the metro.
The only issue was the hot water that ran out very fast.
We will definitively consider staying again in our next trip to Paris.

The location is great. The flat was clean and suitable for our 7-people company. The staffs, including the taxi driver were wonderful. Small problems were fixed within a day. We appreciate allowing us to stay until our departure for the airport. We recommend solving the hot water issue which appears also in other comments, it ran out way too quickly.

Great location and perfectly adequate for a family of five. The bathroom was great. The linens (blankets) could use some updating as well as the kitchen. There were not enough glasses/serveware to have a decent meal. The dryer also had some issues – very noisy and lots of moisture.
We walked everywhere from this location and it was fabulous for that. The neighborhood felt very safe, and my daughter fell ill and there is a Canadian doctor just around the corner who saw us quickly …she was getting better by the time we left. Everyone connected with the agency served us very well. Our taxi driver was fabulous and the greeter was very helpful. Overall, an A-.

Our third stay in this excellent apartment, situated in a very pleasant neighbourhood (couple, three teenagers).
And our sixth of seventh stay in one of your apartments.
That says it all!

(Nevertheless: for other renters we do hope that the apartment door has been repaired – without the key it was not possible to close it.)

We loved the apartment. It was spacious and very comfortable. We could not get the dishwasher to work and the kitchen sink did not have a plug but we were very happy with everything else. The location was great. Hope we can stay there again some day.

My family (2 adults, 12 year old,and 14 year old) loved this apartment. The size and location were perfect, and we especially enjoyed being right down the street from a fantastic boulangerie. We could–and did–walk everywhere from here. At night, we’d come home, fling open all the windows, and the breeze would cool the place down very quickly. The dishwasher did not work while we were there, but this didn’t bother us much, since we only ate breakfast at home.

Great locations, very good apartment with all the necessary around (restaurant, shops etc..).
we will try to be back next time in Paris in the same locations.

A superb location and at a very cold time of the year, the heating worked superbly. An ideal place to spend New Year with many amenities surprisingly open! Our sons were very pleased with the internet access as the DVD player was a little choosy! We would highly recommend this apartment and if returning to Paris would stay there again without hesitation.

We stayed there with 2 children aged 3 and 5 for nearly 3 weeks – the weather was hot but the apartment only has windows on one side so there was no air flow. After a few days SCI finally managed to get us another fan which improved things a bit. The street below was very noisy and whilst the young kids slept through once they were asleep it required us to wear earplugs at night to be able to get a decent sleep. It was not possible to leave the windows closed as the air in the apartment became too stuffy. The location is fantastic but we wouldn’t stay in that apartment again as the noise at night is just too loud and no air flow makes it uncomfortable. The fold out sofa could not be closed up so the limited space was even more limited.

My stay at 12, Rue de Buci last April was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! A fantastic location, the staff were terrific, and my mother and I had the time of our lives! I would gladly return to this apt. the next time I visit Paris – which will be soon; although I could use a second tutorial on working the washer/ dryer. Again, a wonderful experience – thank you for helping me give my mom the gift of Paris in spring!

I agree with all the above. Apt. charming, in great bustling neighborhood, 2 bathrooms a real plus and the bed very comfortable.

Our one major complaint (besides the empty walls which could have used a couple of tasteful works of art,) was that, for the hour or two we rested during the day, there was NO comfortable chair, or sofa to sit on. The daybed was not comfortable as a sofa, and at least one easy chair, beyond the rickety one which was there, would have made a big difference for us. For us to return to this apt. we would hope to have that improvement. Otherwise, the agency responded well.

12 Rue de Buci is a great location.Restarants, cafes, supermarket and two metros are on the door step. The river is a short stroll. The apartment being on a high floor is bright and comfortable. It also has character. You do hear however, at night, the busy street below. it’s not bad but it is a busy night life spot. If you want to be in the heart of Paris, I would recommend this apartment.

My wife, me, and our two sons (20 and 22) stayed at this apartment in early May. We concur exactly with all the comments posted just a couple of days ago (on June 17, 2009) by Andrea. The two bathrooms were also very helpful since we were 4 adults. Gabriel was kind enough to meet us on a weekend, even though we were uncertain at what exact time we would arrive. I would suggest two small improvements to make this apartment even more attractive: 1) a few pictures or paintings on the walls would make it look nicer and warmer, and 2) a second set of keys. When you have 4 adults that may not be doing things together all the time, not having a second set of keys was a problem. The location was absolutely superb!!!

We stayed here for 6 nights in May 2010. WE loved the location and the ease of getting aroudn. There are a few great restaurants in easy strolling distance (a few blocks) and many many more within walking distance (1-2 miles). The apartment was clean and was completely adequate for a week’s stay. I thought the bed was hard, but my partner loved it, so must be a preference! there was a good amount of shopping right near by – a grocery store, cheese shop, wine shop, delicious bakery – all within a block. I would definitely recommend this apartment for 2 people.

I posted a suggestion back in December of having a mirror in the bedroom and towel holders in the bathroom…none were there on my last visit in April. Instead there was some kind of remodelling done which in my opinion were for the worst. The cabinets from the bathroom were removed and the inside of the shower and the floor painted…The desk in the living room had been removed as well as the grocery cart which we had bought and paid ourselves…Overall still nice and a great location but we were a bit dissapointed. The wireless internet worked only the first 2 days.

Very nice apartment, would benefit from having a mirror in the bedroom and towel holders in the bathroom.

Outstanding company to deal with, fun apartment…best decision we made was to arrange an aparment for a week.

Cute apartment, lots of space for the two of us. Clean and the kitchen had everything you would need. Outstanding area to live in with easy access to bus and subway. Great shopping and rest. in the area. I would certainly come back.

We truly appreciated the service provided by SCI PA Location of being picked up at the airport and taken directly to the apartment. It made our arrival very smooth. The apartment has been totally redone and I enjoyed a brand-new kitchen. It is located in an old building and in the summer with the open windows you may experience noise from the street, since it is located at a busy intersection. Overall it is a lovely place to use as your Paris base.

This apartment was a perfect home base for all 8 of us in Paris. We traveled with four adults and four children, and this location placed us near many restaurants, main attractions, a grocery story, a small bakery across the street, the metro and many adorable shops. My parents are already planning to go back and stay in this same apartment. We were very comfortable, had plenty of room, and felt very safe. The view from the window of the Seine river, along with the breeze was priceless.

Fabulous stay in beautiful Paris at this great apartment in early January 2011. Our family of 8 were very comfortable in this roomy apartment and found it very clean & well stocked. Superb location (bakery across the road is amazing). We already look forward to returning & highly recommend. SCI PA Location provide an excellent service.

Fantastic apartment! Great location and views, bakery across the street is amazing. We stayed for 4 nights in late Aug/early September and loved it. Would definitely return. Only (small) complaint is that it’s a tad noisy with windows open, but that’s city living for you.

PA Location staff who met us was great. Easy to reach and responsive prior to arrival, ready and waiting when we arrived at the apartment. Highly recommend.

My family stayed ‘On the island’ as we referred to 18 rue des Deux Ponts. The apartment was fabulous. We arrived on the day that the snow storms had created havoc with the airports but Jules patiently waited for us even though we were 5 hours late. We found all the information left on the desk and the cupboard re where things were. We used the Metro constantly and safely from the Pont Marie and Citie. A seperate WC in addition to the modern bathroom and hand basin in the master bedroom worked well. The bakery across from the apartment is to die for as is the Creamerie turning left at Rue Ile Saint Louis. We will be back definitely.

We stayed in the apartment in late October. The location was wonderful and easy walking distance to so much to see in Paris. Convenient to metro as well. I would like to see heavy curtains on second bedroom as the street light is directly outside. In addition, the early morning rubbish collections several days per week woke us up.
The apartment is great for a group of people sharing. I would have liked to see instructions to local supermarket etc so that when one arrives one can go and get supplies quickly and easily. We found them eventually but not before paying many euros to some of the more local shopkeepers. Great place to stay and I would definitely return.

6 of us had a great stay in the apartment for 4 nights. The location was very central, with everyhting at your doorstep. Highly recommended

Our company had 6 people stay at this apartment in August. The location was fantastic and the views of the Seine were spectacular. We would definitely have folks stay here again.

The location of STGER06 is perfect, and staff were excellent. We also booked our airport taxis through them, and the drivers were prompt and very friendly.

The apartment is very functional, with two small caveats. It sleeps four comfortably, as advertised, but the layout makes it a bit tight to move around with that many. Two would be perfect. And it could use a bit of a ‘refresh’ (especially in the toilet room).

But we would happily stay there again, and would definitely recommend the agency.

location location location! STGER06 was very quiet comfortable apt for our little family, and moments away from all that Saint Germain has to offer. the amenities and Wifi were great. The only thing is that it has no view, but all of Paris is just outside your doorstep! PA Location has great customer service, and the greeter Eric was superb. Highly recommended. Merci!

My wife and I had a great time at STGER06. The location was great for exploring Paris, and the apartment was very comfortable. The two single beds were fine, much better than a small double. Eric, our welcoming agent was great. We would stay there again.

Posted by: Will Everett | 10 January 2011 at 22:04

STGER06 is very well located to many of the main attractions in Paris. Metro and buses are all very central to the apartment. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. The apartment has all mod cons including wireless connection which worked very well. The apartment was very quiet and safe. Great little eating Bar next door, cheap and outstanding food and service. We will be booking this apartment when next in Paris in 2011.

Great, convenient location. The check-in person accommodated my flight delay. I would recommend this apartment.

21 rue de seine worked out very well for our family. Despite the small size our family of four was very comfortable. Our kids found the two double beds much to their liking. The fold out in the living room worked fine for two adults. The appliances were all functioning well and we prepared several wonderful meals in the small kitchen. Location of the flat could not be better.

Bofinger at Bastille – probably the oldest and classiest Brasserie in Paris

Forget the Michelin-starred restaurants and traditional bistros of the French capital, it’s the brasseries that are regarded as grand historic symbols says Jay Rayner of the Observer – and none more so than this fabled haunt of presidents and prime ministers ………”

Back in 2002 when he wrote this article, Jay Rayner was referring to the now 141 year old Bofinger Brasserie which was being bought by the Flo Restaurant Group. He was concerned, like many Parisiens at the time, for it’s future. They need not have worried. It is thriving! I have been there twice ever, once for a businessy lunch and the other for dinner with my mum and dad and we loved it, as much for the place itself (the whole of the interior including not only the glass dome but it’s famous urinals, are a protected national monument) and it’s atmosphere as for the food. And by the way, prices are not crazy so a visit won’t break the bank.

If you are going to spend some time in Paris you should know what makes a good Brasserie. That is why I am giving you this link to the whole of the Observer article. Read it and then enjoy Bofinger!

Legrand Filles et Fils – for an elegant glass of wine and much more

An épicerie fine or fine grocers since 1880, Legrand Filles et Fils (daughters and sons) has become one of Paris’ most reputable caves with a diverse selection of international wines. The original premises has been authentically restored into a beautiful wine merchants and bar alongside the Galerie Vivienne, an intimate pedestrian arcade designed in 1823 housing fashion, art and miscellaneous boutiques . Although every wall of Legrand is filled floor-to-ceiling with wine bottles, the majority of their collection is stored in an underground cave beneath the Galerie Vivienne.

Charcuterie and cheese plates, wines by the glass or a bottle from the extensive collection (with a €15 corkage fee) can be enjoyed at the bar until 19:00. In the evenings it turns into a classroom with various lessons and tastings upon reservation. Across the Galerie, Legrand has a shop offering wine books and accessories.
