We arrived on May 7th and departed on May 14th - 2013. The apartment TOUREIFF30 was as seen in the photos and larger than anticipated. It is nicely appointed and tastefully, if perhaps somewhat funkily decorated with a comfortable bed. The apartment is in a quiet building on a quiet street in a quiet, very safe, neighbourhood. There is good shopping (baker, butcher, green grocer, cheese, wine and chocolate) and a metro station within about 4-5 normal North American length city blocks. The young fellow who checked us in was friendly but poorly informed about the property admitting that he had never actually been to either the apartment or neighbourhood before and so had little or no information to impart. The washing machine provided and the one in the manual did not appear to be the same model so perhaps the machine was replaced without updating the information booklet. The oven and fridge could have used a good cleaning but we never used the oven anyway…only the microwave which has more features than Canadian ones. Beware of the dinning room window as it swings both in and out… we had it opened when a wind came up and blew inward knocking a vase off a stand in front of it. No one in the area speaks English so a good way to be forced to make use of our rusty French and it’s a very friendly neighbourhood so you can get by with it and plenty of smiles and chuckles. The place needs a plunger as we could have used it on the bathroom sink as the drain, seemingly clogged with hair, drains very slowly. We were pleased with this, our first, experience renting an apartment as opposed to a hotel. It is something we would do again and we would certainly recommend Paris by Numbers.

Liam, I think that you can see by the above that we were quite satisfied and would do this again. In fact it has given us a taste of this type of travel accommodation and we shall look for similar experiences elsewhere as well.

Thank you again,
Sincerely,
Roy Cardwell

STGER41 – rue du Cherche Midi, 75006 Paris

RENT THIS APARTMENT

This apartment, STGER41, was exactly what we needed.  Although we found the stairs to the loft a bit of a challenge if you needed to get up during the night, everything was perfect.  Clean, modern and quiet.

Location : The location was perfect – we are keen walkers and were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Notre Dame. It is more of a residential area, so not so touristy.

Shopping: The Bon Marche epicure store is just on the next corner which has a fantastic range of foods, and they also have a great wine shop.  Shopping in the area is  also excellent with all the fashion brands close by.  There is also a great fresh fruit market across the road, and a small deli which sells milk, bread, wine etc at reasonable prices.

Transport:
Easy access to the metro.  We didn’t use the buses, but found our way to Montmartre with no problems.  Also used the metro to get to St Lazarre to connect with a train to Vernon (to visit Monet’s garden – a must if you visit Paris)

Suggestions:  perhaps a small hair dryer could be made available.  I was lucky that I had my own.  Also, to stock the basics in the pantry such as salt, pepper and sugar.

All in all, a great place to stay.  Hopefully it will be available for our next stay.

Cheers
Cathie

We stayed in STGER41 for 13 nights in May 2012. Loved the modern furnishings and look of the apartment and especially its brightness. Very comfortable for 1 couple; kitchen well equipped.

Some of the best food, cheese, chocolate shops in Paris nearby. A few Metro stations to choose from.
Easy, well organized check in and check out.

Posted by: Adriana Rzeznik | 09 June 2012 at 15:14

We stayed 22 nights March/April 12.

The agent arrived at the appointed time and checked us in all worked well.

The location was perfect close to 4 Metro stations, many close by Bus routes and easy walk to Seine and lots of other locations.

STGER41 apartment was very modern with all facilities for self catering.

All manner of shops close by, including Bon Marche Food Hall.

Apartment is on 4th floor and double glazed so there were no noise problems, even though it is a busy street.

It was not a problem for us but it is a split level apartment, with stairs up to the bedroom.

My husband and I spent a fantastic week in June in NOTRE01, this delightful, well appointed studio apartment. It is in close proximity and therefore walking distance or Met, to any where you wish . It is amazingly quiet and private considering the location. We loved the very Parisien french doors, which when open, allowed us to listen to the fantastic chiming of the bells of Notre Dame. When closed, complete quiet! We never ceased to be amazed how when we walked through the lovely old wooden doors of the court yard, we were amongst the bustle of Paris. Our thorough orientation to the apartment was conducted by a very pleasant young woman. Nothing was too much trouble. Liam promptly answered emails and solved problems. We recommend Paris by numbers to any one, with out hesitation.

My wife and I stayed at 16 Rue Chanoinesse in June 2012. We were most impressed with all aspects of our stay. The gentleman handling the handover was comprehensive and knowledgeable. The position is fantastic. The apartment is clean, very well set up and has excellent wifi service. Strongly recommended!!

The Apartment is charming and in an excellent location. The apartment however needs better lighting for reading, for example: a tube light above the kitchen sink would be very helpful, and as I said, proper reading light for the living space.

We stayed at 16 rue Chanionesse for 5 nights in may, 2011. the location of the apartment is superb- within a few minutes you can find yourself in the latin quarter or alternatively marais if you turn the other way. close to st michael’s station its possible to get to any part of Paris or even go straight to Versailles for the day. in the evenings when the tourists clear out its lovely to stroll around Notre Dame and its gardens as the bells toll.
This is relatively small apartment is perfect for 2 people. throughout the day the rooms are sunny and light-filled. the bathroom and kitchen are compact but well equipped.

Liam, This was our second stay at no 16. and again we found it very suitable for what we wanted. The location could not be bettered and the accommodation was in the best of order. Myles

We just had a great few days in Paris staying in NOTRE01. Can’t really think of a better location with Notre Dame and Ile St. Louis literally on your doorstep, yet you are in a quiet and peaceful apartment. Approached through lovely old doors into a courtyard and up just one short flight of stairs the apartment is ideal for two people with all mod cons yet a very Parisien feel. Great  restaurants and little shops on Ile St. Louis and Ile de la Cite, you could easily just spend your entire trip on these islands alone.

Highly recommended, we will be back. Philip

HI Liam…we had a wonderful time in paris..both loved the apartment NOTRE01 …its  situation, its spaciousness and its lovely sense of Paris. I hope that when Ireturn that this same apartment might be available.

As always it was a pleasure to deal with Paris Apartments by Numbers and Joel was very helpful.

Many thanks, Ray

Dear Liam, We greatly enjoyed staying on rue  Chanoinesse, location is ideal – at least for our purposes - and the studio is remarkably quiet and has all the things one could need for comfort. Protected by the police next door, with a grocery open late at night under your nose, a great restaurant (Au Vieux Paris) in the same block, an historical wine cave around the corner and the best icecream in Paris just across the bridge in Ile St. Louis. Not to mention St. Germain on one side and the Marais on the other, all at walking distance.

Best, Edna and Dan

I stayed at the Paris Apartments by Numbers apartment NOTRE01 for a few nights earlier this year, while on a business trip to Paris.  I really enjoyed my stay there for several reasons.  First of all, the location was excellent, as it meant I could walk to all the beautiful places nearby (Notre Dame, l’Ile de France, Le Marais etc.), and also get to business meetings with little hassle.  Secondly, the flat itself was ideally equipped for a single person or couple wishing to spend at least a few nights in Paris.  The apartment was very comfortable, and the building itself impressive.  Finally, the best part for me is being able to go to the local shops and buy in the wonderful food at the local delicatessens.

Enjoy your stay there !  Cliona

I left my suit behind in NOTRE01. Thanks a million Liam for getting it back for me. I’m really delighted and impressed. Simonetta

I stayed at the Rue Chanoinesse apartment from June 22 til July 3 2010 during a business trip. I foud the location spectacular, close to the main touristic attractions and easy to access by transit. The apartment itself is in good shape with all necessary ammenities. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at NOTRE01 for a week in July 2010. The apartment was great: very well located (really really close to the Notre Dame), quiet, clean, safe (police station right next door) and charming. It had everything we needed, space, huge windows (= a lot of beautiful light coming in), great shower, comfortable bed and fully equipped kitchen. We had a small inconvenient with the internet connection but it was quickly solved by Vesna and Liam (however, it only worked with one computer at a time). It can get a bit warm inside during the day, but the provided fan did a reasonably good job. 4 out of 5.  Their taxi partner was really professional: on time and very polite. I do recommend this apartment and Parisbynumbers!

We stayed in the flat during the last week of May. It was a perfect locale. Easy to get to EVERYTHING and very quiet. THe bed was very comfortable and had many pleasant nights sleep. All in all, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Oh, and you get to listen to the bells of Notre Dame!!!!

Posted by: Peter | 16 June 2010 at 17:25

We stayed in the apartment over easter weekend. It proved to be a welcome retreat from the crowds around Notre Dame. Beautifully central, so we walked all the time, easy to get to all the main haunts. The apartment met all our needs. Good to have a full oven as we cooked for ourselves most of the time. A very peaceful, light and airy place, nicely done out.
The company PA Location was efficient and responsive, providing excellent orientation and introduction on arrival.

NOTRE01 was perfect for what we wanted. Very central, lots of character but clean and with all the basics needed for a week’s stay. We hope to use it and Paris Apartments by Numbers again, and thanks Liam for your help in sorting out the extra days! Myles

We stayed for 10 days in Paris at november 2009 and Chanoi 16 apartment is perfect for all. The apartment is renovated and the local is a few steps from Notre Dame. We hope to come back another times and to stay at NOTRE01.

The location of this apartment was perfect for us, on a quiet street, yet in the centre of Paris and very near Notre Dame Cathedral; (we could hear the bells). We could walk almost everywhere: the Louvre and Cluny museums, and the Marais district. Exploring the two islands, Île de la Cité and Île St. Louis, provided endless interest. At a pre-arranged arrival time, we were met by a very pleasant young woman who gave us a thorough orientation to the apartment and its amenities. The apartment itself, located just up a very short flight of stairs, was a pleasant surprise, as it had been recently renovated, was sparkling clean, and had all of the conveniences and appliances that one would hope to find in a well-equipped apartment. Three large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the small courtyard provided a light and airy feel to this compact studio apartment. We particularly appreciated the lack of street noise and privacy, nor could we hear any noise from the apartments in the same building. A small convenience store just next door at street-level supplied all of our basic needs. We would certainly like to stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

Loved it! Felt like a real “parisis”. Perfect location, quiet, safe, nice IKEA decoration. Really worth the price. The only thing missing is a view of Paris, but for that there are about one zilion places in the city.

We absolutely loved the apartment LOUVRE16, the ambiance, the area. The stairs were quite difficult especially with suitcases. I would recommend the apartement for a young or fit crowd. If you had someone able to carry the bags or a small lift I would highly reccomend the apartment to everyone.

Posted by: Debra Del Vecchio | 13 June 2013

It was my first experience with renting an apartment instead of a hotel. We were lucky to find this beautiful flat in the right place. The location is perfect – Louvre, Pont Neuf, Opera – all is very close. Practical moment is that there are many shops in the street St.Honore, metro is 2 min by foot, there is also a taxi parking near the place. As for an apartment itself, I have to say that it is very clean, new, one room facing St.Honore and the bedroom facing the quiet courtyard. It is completly equipped with all that you can need in usual life (vessel, towels etc). We were in Paris with my husband and our boy of 8 y.o. and enjoyed every minutes in this apartment. We are very gratful to all your team to help us with our holidays organisation. We will be happy to return.

We stayed in this apartment as a family of four in late November/early December. We all loved this apartment. It is beautiful to be in. Everything is clean and new. The location is amazing and we were able to walk to many sights and areas easily, down beautiful Parisian streets. We hope to stay here again.

Hi Liam,   Just a quick  note to let you know my sister and I very much enjoyed our vacation in Paris and the accommodations of LOUIS01.   Just a perfect location.  Thanks so much for making it available.

Posted by: Janet Warnert | 10 June 2013

The location of LOUIS01 is one of the best in Paris, accessible to most of the attractions with ease. Across the river to the Left Bank is St. Germaine and the University, while

on the Right Bank is Marais lined with arts/craft shops and some very interesting antique stores, amongst other attractions.

Bastille is at a very walkable distance to the East,  and the Louvre/Opera is a short subway ride away to the West. The closest subway station is Pont Marie, which is a mere two minute walk away. The neighborhood of Ile St.Louis is very friendly and helpful, and if in a rush, most everything can be found on this island.

As for the apartment, it is very adequately equipped. For a studio, the space is generously appointed with good lighting from the tall French windows.

And the next thing I knew, it was already three weeks and I had to return home to Hong Kong.

Posted by: Clara Fung Koo, Hong Kong | 15 April 2013

I loved this apartment, LOUIS01, on the Ile St. Louis. Paris was at its most beautiful and everyone was out in the streets until very late. Take earplugs! I would happily return.

Hi Liam

Overall, we were happy with the accommodation and would either use it again or recommend it. Location is excellent and quiet for somewhere so central. The amenities on Ile Saint Louis were very sufficient for our requirement and we were pleasantly surprised that so many of them were open for the Christmas period. Our welcome from Eric was very professional and he explained all we needed to know.

If I had to nitpick, it would be around the cooking facilities. I know that ceramic rings are the most cost-efficient way for landlords to provide these but they take a long time to reach the heat required for cooking. Also, the microwave combi just doesn’t work that well as an oven. The landlord had also painted very recently which spruced the place up but did mean that the odour lingered. However, these are relatively minor things and didn’t’ detract from a wonderful stay.

One other good thing was around the keys – I know that sounds really ludicrous but you’ve no idea how many places we’ve stayed in where the process of entering the place was a challenge !

Thanks, Patrick

I would stay in one of your apartments next time I visit Paris. I loved this studio and the position on Île Saint-Louis. It was compact – great for one person.

We have just returned from a week’s stay in LOUIS01. Very happy with the organisation.. Joel was right on time to meet us and showed us how everything worked. The apartment was compact but had everything we could want. The location on the Isle St Louis is fantastic…lovely and quiet street but very central to all Paris has to offer. Will recommend to everyone.

We stayed for 10 nights in October 2011 at LOUIS01. It was wonderful for a couple. We were met by Eric when we arrived who helped with how the appliances worked. The location is ideal, close but tucked away on the very beautiful Ile St Louis, with a wonderful boulangerie just around the corner. Highly recommend the apartment, we were very sad to leave.

Liam, Just a note to let you know that we had a great break in Paris. The apartment we stayed in,  LOUIS01, was super and all in order. Wonderfully located and a very smart area. We look forward to using Paris Apartments by Numbers again in the future. Kevin

Hi Liam. We really enjoyed our stay in your apartmentLOUIS01.  It was the perfect location for a city centre visit and close to all transport hubs Arrangements before the trip were excellent and all your communications were very informative.  Meeting the Paris Apartments by Numbers agent at the appartment worked out fine and all her instructions were clear. Thanks again for your help and advice. Nicola

Our week in LOUIS01 was a delight! We fell in love with Ile Saint Louis, and felt that we had chosen the perfect “home” from which to explore Paris for our very first time! The apartment is lovely – light, airy and quiet – with well maintained amenities, and the neighbourhood is wonderful, with cafes, restaurants, and shops just minutes away, as well as a great little grocery store and a fantastic bakery literally around the corner!
The representative from SCI PA Location made the checking in process easy, informative, and friendly. We have been most pleased and impressed with our experience, and will definitely stay in this apartment again when we return to Paris (because one week in this glorious city is definitely not enough!)

My wife & I had a great time in Paris this August staying in a studio apartment booked through Paris Apartments by Numbers. We were staying in  Rue Le Regrattier literally 2 mins walk from Notre Dame, within the sound of it’s bells too. The apartment was lovely and clean, compact and fully fitted. It was close to all amenities, shops, restaurants, bars etc.

Even the transport links were close. When we got the train from CDG to Notre Dame-St.Michel we were near the appartment, and that is a busy Metro with links to all the places we wanted to go to. The red bus stop and all buses were near us also.

If we did not want to travel then the Latin Quarter was a 5 min walk from the Ile Saint-Louis with plenty of restaurants and the famous Shakespeare & Co book-shop which has to be seen as much as all the famous Parisian sites. Jarlath Lavelle Coolock Dublin 5, Ireland.

The apartment was fantastic, clean, modern and in an ideal location. It is close to great restaurants, shops and the metro. This was our first stay in Paris and the first time I have used this web-site to book an apartment. Everything worked like clock work and the arranged person was there waiting for us. My only negative comment was that we could not work out the dryer. Not a big deal.
Anyway recommend highly

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay during Feb 2010 at 23 rue Le Regrattier. Paris Apartments by Numbers offered us a great and cost effective way of staying in the absolute heart of Paris and enjoying Paisian life on one of the Seine’s beautiful islands. The apartment itself  was lovely and bright with it’s high ceiling and amazing beam and while we took the opportunity an apartment gives to mix home cooking with wonderful Parisian produce available at the doorstep, we also dined out at a range of restaurants and bistros within a stone’s throw.

We would highly recommend the Paris Apartments by Numbers formula from the airport pick-up to their Blog with advice on local sites and eateries. Thanks again, Mike and Sandra.

Just had a wonderful weekend stay in Paris in LOUIS01 with my mom. The location was unbeatable with every convenience seconds away. It was very quiet, clean and bright. SCI PA Location team was very accomodating offering us this place (an upgrade) as the one we had originally booked was under repair. Were very professional to work with. We would have liked having the option to have two sets of keys and the outside buzzer was not available to us as there was confusion about what the apartment number was. Had we wanted to separate it would have made for some confusion. Would recommend this apartment and the service. Thank you!

Posted by: Laura | 10 December 2009 at 19:22

Just left- had a wonderful stay and the apt at LOUIS01 is fantastic. The location couldn’t be better and was equipped with everything we needed (only exception- wish the washing machine was a dryer, as well- had to hang our things all over to dry them). Lucia was very kind and flexible in meeting us later than our arranged time to let us in. The cafes and restaurants on the island were very good. Cannot wait to return and will recommend to anyone visiting Paris.

Posted by: Melissa and Steve Udd | 08 October 2009 at 17:51

We had a wonderful stay at this location. LOUIS01 was a cozy place, just the right size for me and my wife. The person who greeted us was extra nice and gave us instructions and a tour of the place. We had trouble with the wireless (something about PCs sometimes having trouble but Macs did not) but it didn’t matter because they had an ethernet cable. Ile St Louis is a very beautiful place to stay. There is a supermarket and a bakery just around the corner with reasonable prices. Notre Dame is just a couple of minutes away and we walked by there almost every day during our stay.

From the airport (CDG), take the RER B line to Paris and get off at Saint Michel and walk to the apartment. It is a beautiful walk to the apartment, especially when you walk by the Notre Dame and Seine river for the first time.

Also, note that although this is an island, it does not look like an island! Ile de Cite does not either (where Notre Dame is located).

I definitely want to come back to Paris and would recommend SCI PA Location.

Yet another great stay in Paris in our favorite apartment, LOUIS01. It now feels like a home away from home. Once again the SCI guys were really helpful. I’ll be back next year!

We stayed in at 23 rue le Regrattier during New Year’s eve period, and we greatly enjoyed it. The heating was OK, the bathroom spacious and comfortable, the bed very good. You have everything you need if you want to cook, even if it’s difficult because this apartment is very small, but you don’t go to Paris to cook. The building is really very quiet, you can sleep late in the morning, and the location is perfect! In the evening we had our little stroll to Notre Dame, which is very near. We recommend it to a couple, very romantic. Only little difficulty: it’s small, problems with putting away suitcases.

We were very happy with the apartment, QLATIN25. Everything was very well organised: Joel was waiting when we arrived, he was really helpful.
The apartment was perfect for us. (Maybe other people would have liked a sofa in the apt, but we were at Roland Garros all day, so it didn’t matter.)

I would definitely book again, I think friends of mine will book too.

Hi, this is Liam from Paris Apartments by Numbers. The apartment now has a new walk-in shower to replace the bathtub and a new, larger hot water tank. new photos are being added to the website.

Posted by: Liam | 04 April 2013
I am Axelle, from PA Location – we forwarded the previous comments to the owner who purchased last september many items for the kitchen such as new glasses, dishes, plates for the oven, special utensils (for pizza, cheese, bread or meat), brand new pans, tea service, protection glove for the oven, etc.. The next tenants who intend to cook should now feel much more comfortable!

Posted by: PA Location | 14 December 2014

This apartment has much to recommend it. It is clean, sunny, and spacious by Paris standards. There are some downsides though. The kitchen dish and glassware was quite limited. There was no bread knife. We purchased one and left it. The induction cooktop is very challenging to use, and the instructions about how to use it are not that helpful. Also there was limited hot water for showering. Even for one person, it started to cool off within 3-4 minutes. This is unacceptable for an apartment large enough to accommodate 4 people. Finally, renters looking for a quiet spot might want to look elsewhere. With the high school courtyard and a playground outside, it can get quite noisy during the long school year!
